President, Founder, CEO James V. Taggart James V. Taggart is a 25-year sales and marketing executive with experience in high technology and pharmaceutical services companies including IBM, Tangram Enterprise Solutions, and MicroMass Communications. Most recently Taggart served as President and CEO of MicroMass, a medication compliance solutions provider to the top five largest pharmaceutical companies. MicroMass, an 80 person company, provided innovative solutions to maintain drug therapy compliance for chronically ill patients. Taggart brings a combination of key pharmaceutical industry experience and a practical technology background. Most importantly, Taggart's first-hand experience in assisting a chronically ill family member with medication management makes him passionate about his company's purpose and a true patient advocate. Chairman, Board of Directors & Advisor W. Christopher Jesse A 35-year sales, marketing and executive management veteran, W. Christopher Jesse has an exemplary track record of assembling and motivating strong teams for success. Jesse took over Prime Computer Corporation’s most struggling division (Federal and State Government Operations) and turned it into the highest revenue producing and most profitable division in the corporation. In 10 years as CEO of Tangram Enterprise Solutions Inc. he led the public company to a steady high of $12 per share from $0.56 per share. This resulted in a market cap of over $100M. He is the author of four published books and is a frequent motivational speaker. Chief Operations Officer, Board Member Nancy Miller Dunn, CPA An executive finance and management veteran, Nancy Miller Dunn uses her 30 years of financial experience and solid knowledge of operations to ensure fiscal and operational accuracy at Physicians Pharmacy. A former CPA and Tax Staff Manager at Deloitte & Touche, Dunn worked for Tangram Enterprise Solutions for 18 years. Dunn held several positions at Tangram including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Senior Vice President Legal Services, and President of Tangram’s Consulting Division. Vice President, Pharmacy Operations Dr. Robert S. Rawls, Pharm D A Campbell University School of Pharmacy graduate and an Eastern Carolina University alumnus, Robert S. Rawls brings solid senior-level experience to Physicians Pharmacy including four years of experience as an analytical chemist for contract pharmaceutical laboratory, Metrics Inc., and three years of retail pharmacy experience at Walgreens as District Supervisor and Pharmacy Manager. Walgreens identified Rawls as one of its Walgreens Emerging Leaders. In addition, Rawls worked with three unprofitable individual pharmacies and turned them into profit-making entities during his tenure. He delivers daily management expertise to ensure PPA remains a successful, high-volume pharmacy. Chief Compliance Officer & Director of Clinical Services Dr. Jamie Brooke Rawls, Pharm D A graduate of the Campbell University School of Pharmacy and an undergraduate of North Carolina State University, J. Brooke Rawls brings clinical expertise in managing complex drug regimens to Physicians Pharmacy. She completed post-doctoral training in primary care, training that has been a valuable asset for PPA. In addition to her pharmacy experience, Rawls is a preceptor for Campbell University and is one of 14 Community Care pharmacists in the state. She is the Director of Pharmacy Programs for the Northern Piedmont Program and sits on the NC Medicaid DUR Board. She has worked for Physicians Pharmacy since May 2003. Chief Technology Officer Steve Kuekes Steve Kuekes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. He has served as a key leader in developing Physicians Pharmacy Alliance's proprietary PharMan™ system as well as other proprietary pharmacy applications. Kuekes founded Tangram Enterprise Solutions, a computer software company, and helped it grow into a public company with over 100 employees and $30 million in revenue before retiring in 2004. He architectured and supervised the development of Tangram's two major software products that included over two million lines of code over eight different computing system platforms. He served as Chief Technical Officer and was a member of the Board of Directors. Kuekes also serves on the Strategic Advisory Board for the Department of Computer Sciences at North Carolina State. Vice President of Business Development Michael J. Perriccio A graduate of James Madison University with degrees in Business Management and Information Systems, Michael Perriccio brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to PPA. Prior to joining PPA Perriccio was Vice President of Business Development for CASTLE Worldwide Inc. and a management consultant for HR Minds Inc. and FMI, Inc. These organizations provided leadership and expertise in strategic planning, organization development, branding strategies, market analysis, investment banking, and human capital. Perriccio has worked extensively in the healthcare field and as General Manager of Marriott International's Healthcare Division. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Assisted Living Association. Advisory Board Member Dr. Stephen H. Fuller, Pharm D, BCPS, CPP An Associate Professor of Pharmacy at Campbell University and a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, Dr. Stephen Fuller is the resident Pharmacotherapist at Cary Healthcare Associates. With 16 years of experience as a patient care provider and physician consultant, Fuller is one of only 65 Clinical Pharmacy Practitioners recognized by the Medical Board of North Carolina. Fuller received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and bachelors degree in Pharmacy from Medical College of Virginia. He also has a bachelors degree in chemistry from Wake Forest University. |
